About the Role
This role offers hands-on responsibility managing a diverse civil litigation caseload from pre-litigation through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of civil litigation matters from pre-litigation through resolution
- Handle written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research in support of motion practice and case strategy
- Prepare regular client status reports in line with case developments and client requirements
- Communicate directly with clients regarding strategy, evaluation, and resolution
- Support settlement negotiations and overall case progression
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
- Admitted to the D.C. Bar (required)
- Familiarity with personal injury, premises liability, and/or products liability matters (advantageous)
Required Skills
- Strong background in civil litigation, including discovery and motion practice
- Experience with depositions and case handling preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse and active caseload
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
