Harris, Harvey, Neal & Co. LLP, an established local accounting firm with offices in Danville, Chatham, Martinsville and South Boston Virginia, has an opening for a full-time bookkeeping position in our Danville office.
Duties & Responsibilities
The bookkeeper position will assist Harris, Harvey, Neal & Co. clients with their day-to-day tasks associated with bookkeeping.
Candidate must be proficient in all bookkeeping duties, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and related payroll tax filings.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Must have at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience
- Must have proficient knowledge and expertise using QuickBooks
- Experience using Peachtree (Sage)
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be customer service oriented, energetic self-starter and have strong written and verbal skills
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
