Key Responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This role ensures timely and accurate order processing by developing and maintaining efficient procedures while managing inventory levels to meet demand and reduce excess stock. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and achieve company goals, while monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. The Warehouse Manager also builds strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners, enforces safety standards and company policies, and leads, trains, and supervises warehouse staff to maintain a productive and accountable work environment.
Work Environment
This role operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, equipment noise, and frequent movement throughout the facility. Responsibilities include both hands-on oversight on the warehouse floor and administrative duties. The position requires regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting. Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, may be required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; 2-4 years of related experience preferred
- Proven warehouse management experience, including supply chain, logistics, and operations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with budgeting, transportation planning, and performance management
- Valid driver's license required; forklift certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
