MSAD 75 is seeking a Long Term Substitute Health Aide to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.
POSITION: Monday - Thursday until June 23, 2026.
PAY RATE: $26.12/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To provide school health services according to School Board polices and under the direction of the School Principal and School Nurse.
- Assist in student Health Care Activities.
- Provide first aid for students.
- Assist with the maintenance of health and/or first aid records.
- Assist with School Health Screenings.
- Assist with the inventory and ordering of school health supplies.
- Perform specific health care procedures with training.
- Reports problems of an immediate or emergency nature. (In the absence of the School Nurse, report will be issued to the building Administrator).
- Dispense medications according to annual training provided by the District and in accordance with the Department of Education laws and School Board policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and effective communication skills.
- Respect and protect the confidentiality of students, staff and families.
- American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Certified.
- Demonstrate basic organizational, computer and clerical proficiency.
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) preferred
