MSAD 75 is seeking a Long Term Substitute Nurse at Mr. Ararat Middle School to join our vibrant educational community.
POSITION: Long Term Substitute Nurse Position: December 4, 2025 to January 31, 2026.
PAY: $230.00/Day
SCHOOL HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7:35am - 2:20pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assess and evaluate the health and development status of students.
- Promote and maintain health and well-being of students, families and school personnel through teaching, professional development, counseling and direct care, as necessary.
- Create and implement individual health plans for the care of students with chronic health conditions, disabilities and those needing treatment or medications.
- Collect and maintain confidential records within professional and legal boundaries and District guidelines.
- Serve as a leader and advocate for student and staff wellness and safety as a member of the school's safety, attendance progress monitoring and crisis teams.
- Serve as critical team member for Individual Education Plan Teams for students with health needs and/or atypical developmental needs.
- Skill and experience supporting students with variety of self-care, mental health and developmental needs in grades 6-8.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid State of Maine Department of Education 524 School Nurse (PreK-12) Certification.
- Valid State of Maine Registered Professional Nurse License.
- Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
- American Heart Association CPR and First Aid certified.
- Completed a minimum of three years' experience as a nurse.
