We are partnered with a private real estate investment platform with an established track record across multifamily & hospitality investments, a strong entrepreneurial culture, and a reputation for identifying value creation opportunities within complex deals. With an active pipeline and a highly collaborative leadership team, they are seeking a Vice President of Capital Raising & Investor Relations to join the business on a permanent basis.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an investor-facing real estate professional to take ownership of capital raising, investor relations, and capital partner strategy across multifamily transactions. The role offers direct visibility to senior leadership, meaningful autonomy, and the chance to play a central part in shaping how deals are positioned, capitalized, and closed.
Responsibilities
- Own capital raising and investor relationships end-to-end across multifamily transactions
- Build, expand, and manage relationships with family offices, private equity groups, institutional capital, and other relevant investment partners
- Translate underwriting, business plans, and market data into clear, compelling investor-facing narratives, presentations, and updates
- Partner closely with Acquisitions and leadership to identify the right capital fit for each deal and help shape pitch strategy from the outset
- Lead investor outreach, meetings, follow-up, diligence coordination, and negotiation support through closing
- Maintain a strong market presence through in-person meetings, site tours, dinners, conferences, and ongoing relationship development
- Help establish and refine investor materials, reporting standards, and communication strategy across the platform
- Mentor junior team members where needed and help drive a high-performance, highly responsive capital markets process
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in capital raising, investor relations, acquisitions, asset management, or capital markets within real estate
- Strong multifamily exposure, with real investor-facing responsibility rather than purely internal or administrative support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn financial analysis into a persuasive investment story
- Strong commercial judgment and comfort discussing deal structure, business plans, risks, and returns with sophisticated capital partners
- Demonstrated track record of building relationships, creating opportunities, and representing a platform credibly in live settings
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a lean, collaborative environment
- High energy, strong presence, and a relationship-driven style that works well both in the boardroom and socially
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Diego, with full-time in-office commitment
Preferred Backgrounds
- Investor Relations or Asset Management professionals with meaningful experience communicating live deals and business plans to investors
- Acquisitions professionals who have regularly pitched investment opportunities and can operate credibly in front of capital partners
- Capital Markets professionals from intermediary, brokerage, or advisory environments with strong exposure to equity placement and investor engagement

Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
