ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000

Essential Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 3 years of relevant industry-related design experience (Commercial, Government,
• Academic, R&D, Industrial).
• Software Proficiency: Technical knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Regulatory Mastery: Broad knowledge of engineering principles, procedures, and all applicable electrical codes for the discipline.
• Core Competency: Experience in layout of electrical system devices, distribution components, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

Desirable Requirements

• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license (Strongly Preferred).
• Certifications: EIT Registration and LEED accreditation.
• Specialized Software: Experience with SKM software tools and Lighting Design software (AGI, Visual, etc.).
• Development: Interest in marketing firm capabilities and establishing new client relationships.

Core Responsibilities

• Technical Design: Design complex electrical systems; perform load studies, voltage drop calculations, generator sizing, and illumination level assessments.
• Documentation: Accurately produce project construction documents (CDs) to meet milestone schedules within predetermined hourly budgets.
• Project Oversight: Oversee designs through project construction/completion; conduct field observations to document existing conditions.
• Coordination: Attend coordination/design meetings; define project specifications and assist with budget construction cost estimating.
• Regulatory Liaison: Address comments from clients, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), and other review authorities; adjust designs accordingly.
• Administration: Review construction administrative items (shop drawings, RFIs, change order
• proposals) and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
• Quality Control: Review staff work for quality assurance and follow firm SOPs and QA/QC procedures.
