Manager, Commercial Data Science
New York (Midtown)
Up to $230,000 base salary bonus
Harnham is partnering with a consulting firm focused on revenue growth strategy to hire a Manager, Commercial Data Science. This role sits at the intersection of advanced analytics and commercial consulting, with full ownership of client delivery and team leadership.
The position offers a clear step up from a Senior individual contributor role, combining hands-on modelling with leadership responsibility and direct exposure to senior client stakeholders.
The role
- Lead end-to-end delivery of predictive modelling and machine learning solutions for enterprise clients
- Own senior client relationships and act as the lead data science voice on engagements
- Manage and develop a team of Data Scientists and Associates
- Drive commercial use cases such as churn prediction, customer health scoring, next best action, and revenue forecasting
- Partner with consulting teams to shape strategy and influence decision-making
- Support business development and pre-sales activity
Your background
- 6 to 10 years of experience in data science within a commercial or client-facing environment
- Strong experience leading projects and managing junior team members
- Advanced Python skills with a strong foundation in machine learning and statistical modelling
- Consulting experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical work into business impact
- Quantitative academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or similar
