Harford Community College is seeking a part-time Summer Camps Nurse to support our Summer Camps from June 22 – August 14, 2026. This role serves as the Health Supervisor, ensuring the health and safety of campers while camps are in session.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the summer camp health program
- Provide on-site medical support for campers with health needs
- Maintain camper and staff health records and incident logs
- Coordinate medical supplies and first aid materials
- Collaborate with and train designated campus staff
- Communicate with families regarding health documentation
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland
- Ability to pass FBI, MD, and CJIS background checks
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification (training provided if needed)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a camp setting
Details
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Shifts between 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Employee training required the week of June 8, 2026
- Applicants must reside in Maryland or contiguous states and be authorized to work in the U.S.
Previous experience in a camp or pediatric setting preferred.
Compensation: $3,851 paid over duration of season
