The IT Coordinator focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting educational technology services in district classrooms, students, school offices, and staff. Key responsibilities include managing user accounts, resolving hardware/software issues via ticketing system, and assisting with digital curriculum integration.
Required Skills/Abilities
Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft, etc.
Identify hardware and software issues relating to desktop machines, laptops, and student computers to maintain working order.
Ability to repair, develop, or install computer hardware or network systems.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to perform professional-level work dealing with data, people, and technology.
District Wide Support
Assists superintendent, principals, school personnel, and teachers in assessing their technology needs and provides direction or resources to meet those needs.
Communicates with vendor technical support to resolve hardware and software problems as needed.
Works with appropriate District personnel to ensure the effective integration of administrative and instructional systems.
Develops service support procedures for the efficient delivery of assigned technology services.
Monitor and maintain school network infrastructure (servers, switches, LAN).
Stays informed about current trends and best practices in areas of technology.
Staff & Teacher Support
Supports school-wide computing networks - including network servers, network communications equipment, desktop workstations, iPads, SmartBoards, and peripherals.
Provides support for personnel in troubleshooting problems relating to computer applications, desktop operating systems, and network operating systems.
Monitors and responds, in a timely manner, and effectively to requests through the IT Service Desk ticketing
Assist CAO, Principals, teachers, and students with educational software, and integration of classroom technology. In some cases, provide training.
Works with staff on the development of staff skills in the use of school computing networks for accessing instructional material.
Maintains district technology inventory.
