We’re seeking motivated, competitive, and career-driven individuals to join our team as a Business Development Associate (Sales Trainee). In this role, you’ll help drive new business opportunities by identifying prospects, qualifying opportunities, and securing high-value discovery meetings for producers — all while receiving ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
What You’ll Do
✅ Prospecting & Activity Generation
• Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, and digital outreach
• Work from assigned vertical target lists and lead sources
• Generate qualified discovery meetings for the Business Development team
• Maintain a disciplined and consistent follow-up cadence
• Build and manage an active pipeline of opportunities
✅ Meeting Qualification
• Apply agency-defined qualification standards including:
- Industry and revenue fit
- Access to decision-makers
- Timing and opportunity indicators
- Confirm scheduled meetings to maintain strong appointment hold rates
- Ensure opportunities are properly vetted before handoff to producers
✅ Sales Process Discipline
• Maintain accurate and organized CRM records
• Track outreach activity, follow-ups, and next steps
• Participate in weekly pipeline and activity reviews
• Follow defined sales process and stage criteria
• Demonstrate strong organization and attention to detail
✅ Professional Development
• Participate in the USLI 50/50 Program
• Complete required training and development milestones
• Shadow producer meetings and client interactions
• Participate in role-play exercises and coaching sessions
• Continuously develop communication, prospecting, and consultative sales skills
What We’re Looking For
- NJ Property Casualty Producer License (must obtain within 45 days of hire.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
