Duties

• Assist with food preparation tasks, including ingredient handling, portioning, and basic cooking under supervision
• Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation standards
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and resetting dining areas efficiently
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and correctly
• Operate kitchen equipment including dishwashers, mixers, and other small appliances with proper training
• Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and ensuring timely service delivery
• Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards at all times to create a safe working environment for everyone

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and sanitation procedures
• Experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on cleanliness and organization
• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and culinary skills including knife handling
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily responsibilities
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, mixers, or food prep tools
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a fast-paced setting
• Understanding of food safety management principles to uphold hygiene standards consistently
