Position Overview:
We are seeking a top-tier Senior Automation Controls Engineer to lead advanced PLC programming and process development for custom automation systems. This role is for a proven professional who can turn specifications into reliable, high-performance control solutions and thrive in both design and field environments.
What You'll Do:
- Lead PLC programming and control system development for custom automation projects
- Develop control strategies and process logic from customer and internal specifications
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to deliver complete system designs
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and commission automation systems
- Support on-site startup and system integration at customer facilities
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and customers
What You'll Bring:
- Extensive experience in industrial automation and controls engineering
- Expert-level PLC programming proficiency with Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Siemens platforms
- Strong ability to translate specifications into functional control designs
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- High professional standards and attention to detail
Travel:
- Approximately 40% travel to job sites for commissioning, startup, and support.
