Responsibilities
Controls System Design & Optimization
- Design, develop, and maintain control systems for data center power distribution, cooling, and mechanical systems.
- Monitor system performance, analyze data, and adjust controls to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support integration and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS).
- Collaborate with Controls and Monitoring team and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions aligned with client operational goals.
- Lead large-scale control system projects from conception through implementation and commissioning.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Prepare technical documentation and standard operating procedures for system operations and maintenance.
- Contribute to energy efficiency projects and sustainable practices in data center operations.
- Contribute to completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in controls engineering with focus on data center or similar critical environments.
- Expertise in programming, configuring, and managing PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs within BMS and EPMS systems.
- Proficient understanding of data center infrastructure systems (electrical and mechanical).
- Familiarity with EtherNET/IP, Modbus, and BACnet protocols.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and system optimization skills.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and schematics.
- Demonstrated experience managing full-lifecycle control system projects.
- Preferred: Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk and Studio 5000 or similar platforms.
- Preferred: Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability projects in data centers.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to travel 5–10% of the time; valid driver’s license required.
- Participation in on-call rotation (team schedule).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook.
