Harbor Fab is currently looking for a professional Document Control Specialist based in Fort Worth, Tx. The Document Control Specialist will operate in a team environment to support document controls for project management & operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers in preparing drawing packages for detailing/engineering requests for quotation, and other general correspondence.
- Assist project manager in the processing of submittals to customer, returned submittals from customer, returned to engineering for scrubbing and issuance to operations for fabrication, as well as all Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist project manager with project status update entries, and payment, change order, RFI, and submittal logs.
- Establish and maintain a project document filing system in accordance with established client procedures.
- Prepare reports in accordance with established client procedures and forms.
- Manage all documents for all projects in the Tekla project management system running parallel to client's document control software.
- Enter and track Submittals, RFI's, pending change order, and change orders that were reviewed and/or prepared by Project Managers.
- Document Controller maintains all logs.
- Establish and maintain hard file systems.
- This position can work on a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off. The position allows for work from home one day per week. All other days of the week, the position is expected to report to the field office trailers at the project site in Ft. Worth, TX.
Knowledge & Skills Required:

Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent working experience
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience providing document control services in the construction field. Must be proficient in using MS Office software. Knowledge of Tekla, Procore, SharePoint, and other similar systems.
