Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Quality professional to support large-scale, regulated construction projects within life sciences and advanced manufacturing environments. This role is focused on ensuring that all construction activities are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, industry codes, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong field-based construction experience with a focus on quality inspection, defect identification, and multi-discipline coordination across active job sites. This position plays a key role in supporting ongoing brownfield construction within operational GMP manufacturing, laboratory, and controlled environment spaces.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of active construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes
- Monitor construction quality across multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural work
- Identify and document construction deficiencies, non-conformances, and punch list items
- Work directly with General Contractors to communicate issues and ensure timely corrective actions
- Review installed work for quality of workmanship, fit, finish, and adherence to project requirements
- Support quality verification of construction in GMP, cleanroom, laboratory, and manufacturing environments
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, findings, and project quality records
- Assist in turnover and readiness activities as spaces are completed and transitioned
Requirements
- Strong hands-on construction experience in active job site environments
- Experience performing construction inspections, quality checks, or field verification work
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Experience identifying construction defects, installation issues, and code compliance gaps
- Familiarity with multi-discipline construction work (MEP, structural, architectural systems)
- Experience working in regulated or high-standard environments such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical manufacturing is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail with ability to independently walk and assess active construction areas
- Strong documentation and communication skills for reporting quality findings
- Experience working in brownfield construction environments preferred
