Duties
- Provide attentive, loving care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional security at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, and early cognitive development
- Follow established routines for feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene to create consistency and stability for infants
- Monitor developmental milestones and communicate progress or concerns with parents or guardians regularly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support socialization by encouraging positive interactions with peers and caregivers
- Document daily activities, observations, and any incidents accurately to ensure comprehensive records
Requirements
- Proven experience in infant care or early childhood education, including classroom or daycare settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for infants and young children
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Prior experience in nannying or babysitting infants is highly valued
