Position Summary
The Field Execution Supervisor is a hands-on field role responsible for leading and executing day-to-day work activities on utility-scale solar sites. This position works directly alongside field crews to perform and oversee complex field work, including advanced troubleshooting, system repairs, and major component replacements, while maintaining productivity and ensuring work is completed safely and correctly.
This role will lead field crews while remaining actively involved in the work, providing real-time direction, support, and technical expertise. The position requires the ability to diagnose and resolve system-level issues in the field, including ground fault identification and repair, inverter troubleshooting and replacement, and other critical corrective work scopes.

Position Summary
The Field Execution Supervisor is a hands-on field role responsible for leading and executing day-to-day work activities on utility-scale solar sites. This position works directly alongside field crews to perform and oversee complex field work, including advanced troubleshooting, system repairs, and major component replacements, while maintaining productivity and ensuring work is completed safely and correctly.
This role will lead field crews while remaining actively involved in the work, providing real-time direction, support, and technical expertise. The position requires the ability to diagnose and resolve system-level issues in the field, including ground fault identification and repair, inverter troubleshooting and replacement, and other critical corrective work scopes.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Work directly in the field alongside crews to execute daily work scopes
- Lead field crew personnel, providing clear direction and support
- Perform and lead advanced electrical troubleshooting on utility-scale PV systems
- Diagnose and isolate complex system issues, including intermittent and difficult-to-locate ground faults
- Identify root causes of system failures and execute repairs in the field
- Perform component-level replacements, including inverters, combiner boxes, fuses, and associated equipment
- Support inverter replacements and major corrective work scopes from teardown through re-energization readiness
- Troubleshoot DC and AC systems, including wiring, terminations, and balance of system components
- Utilize drawings, system data, and field observations to drive efficient issue resolution
- Coordinate escalation when required, while maintaining ownership of field-level troubleshooting and repair
- Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in utility-scale solar (PV), construction, or O&M
- 3 years of proven experience leading field operations and managing crews on job sites
- Strong hands-on field experience with electrical systems, PV, and BESS equipment
- Experience leading field crews in active job site environments
- Proven ability to diagnose ground faults and system-level issues
- Working knowledge of inverters, DC systems, and MV infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field
- Clear communication skills in a team-oriented environment
- OSHA 30 / NFPA 70E
- Electrical licenses or equivalent advanced field experience
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, communications troubleshooting, or plant-level monitoring
- Experience interfacing directly with clients, EPCs, or OEM representatives in the field
- NABCEP Certification
- Medium Voltage (MV) switching or high-voltage safety training
- Equipment certifications (forklift, telehandler, or similar)
- Ability to travel extensively to project sites
- Lifting and carrying items greater than 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions for extended periods
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks alongside field crews as needed
- Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, based on project demands
