The Farmers Daughter Restaurant at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in working in an upscale hospitality environment. An exemplary work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and a passion for providing superior customer service are necessary for all applicants. Applicants with experience working for first-class hospitality organizations will be strongly considered.

Job Summary

Restaurant Servers are responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving Guests in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our customers have exceptional dining experiences. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our Guests' needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

The right candidate will be passionate about food and service and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition and previous experience working as a Server in a fine dining restaurant setting.

We are hiring part-time year-round; this is not a seasonal position. We are looking for someone to work 3-4 shifts per week with the availability to work AM & PM weekdays and weekends.

Shifts Are

Monday - Saturday (11:00AM - 4:00PM)

Monday - Saturday (4:00PM - 10:00PM)

Sundays Only - (8:00AM - 4:00PM) & (4:00PM - 10:00PM)

This position will require you to complete a Responsible Alcohol Management Program to obtain RAMP certification prior to 90 days of employment

The base pay for this position is $2.83 per hour tips.

Server Functions

• Attends and Participates in all training sessions and team meetings.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner.
• Greet guests with a warm smile to make them feel welcome.
• Take customer’s food/drink orders while being polite, friendly, and helpful to guests.
• Be able to suggest appropriate substitutions, wine pairings, sides, etc.
• Confirm orders accordingly to your assigned section and tables.
• Replenish drinks and wine along with providing coffee/dessert services in a timely manner.
• Always maintain clean tables efficiently and cater to the guests’ requests and needs in a prompt and professional manner to ensure an overall superior level of customer service.
• Handles all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
• Performs all assigned side work.
• General clean-up (busing of plates, glassware, silverware, etc.)
• Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct.
• Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management.
• Reports to the Restaurant Manager
  
  

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• A minimum of one year working experience in fine dining
• Must be RAMP certified or willing to obtain RAMP certification for employment
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverages
• Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food, and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
• Available to work weekends, day and evening shifts and major holidays.
• Abide by all Laws and company policies that regulate serving alcoholic beverages.
• Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Always arrive punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance.
• Frequently Wash Hands for proper food handling
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Able to lift to 25 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance.
