Hansell Tierney is supporting our client, a K-12 school district, in their search for an IT Program Delivery Coordinator.
Location: Hybrid - Seattle

Compensation - $35-50 Hourly

Role Overview
A large public sector education organization is seeking an experienced IT Program Delivery Coordinator to support a Student Systems & Support team responsible for enterprise student platforms.
This is a coordination-focused role (not a management position) partnering closely with IT leadership to organize operational work, release schedules, communications, and process improvements across a complex application portfolio. The role has no budget or staffing responsibilities.
The team includes Analysts, Developers, and Database Administrators supporting both vendor-managed and internally developed systems.
Systems Supported
Vendor platforms: Student information and learning management systems, assessment tools, analytics platforms, and transportation software solutions.
Internal systems: Student assignment, transportation operations, safety/security reporting, and truancy management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recurring operational activities including incidents, requests, releases, hotfixes, upgrades, and seasonal (start/end-of-year) processes
- Run daily stand-ups and coordinate across operational and project workstreams
- Manage operational calendars including bi-weekly releases, tri-annual upgrades, and other scheduled system changes
- Coordinate environment readiness, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities
- Support change management processes and represent the team in release/change governance meetings
- Develop communication plans for system changes and service interruptions
- Translate technical updates into clear, non-technical communication for business stakeholders and leadership
- Partner with IT leadership to improve processes, SOPs, SLAs, and Tier 1 support workflows
- Support configuration and optimization of ITSM workflows and reporting tools
- Maintain operational documentation including templates, SLAs, requirements, and dashboards
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience coordinating IT operations, delivery, or enterprise application support
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM/work management platforms
- Experience coordinating Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices in operational or project environments
- Experience managing system releases, changes, or UAT across multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, especially translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Experience documenting processes, procedures, and workflows
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with student information systems (PowerSchool preferred)
- Experience in K–12 education or public sector environments
- Experience with ServiceNow SPM and/or CWM modules
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, ITIL, Lean/Six Sigma, or similar
- Background in systems administration or technical application support
- Experience with cloud applications, system migrations, or enterprise integrations
- Familiarity with IT security and compliance environments
- Experience working with external vendors and third-party providers
- Understanding of technical debt and system lifecycle management
