As a Food Service Worker, you will play a hands-on part in providing and serving all district students a healthy and nutritious breakfast and lunch while keeping our kitchen and serving areas exceptionally clean and sanitary.
Depending on your assigned building location, these positions offer steady shifts between 4.5 and 5.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Compensation
- Starting Rate: $14.06/hr

- Food Preparation: Prepare or assist in the preparation of a variety of nutritious meals using standard recipes to ensure proper flavor, appearance, and temperature.
- Serving Line Management: Set up the serving line daily with proper food items and correct serving utensils according to national food and nutrition guidelines.
- Kitchen Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, equipment, preparation tables, and serving lines after each use to prepare for state and USDA inspections.
- Safety & Compliance: Safely operate all kitchen equipment , complete and pass the ServSafe course every 3 years , and manage leftover food or logs following proper health and safety procedures.
- Point of Service Operations: Correctly operate the Point of Service (POS) computer system when assigned and handle end-of-day deposit routines.

- Maintain Stamina: Stand or walk ninety percent (90%) of the workday.
- Manual Handling: Lift and carry supplies or items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Full Range of Motion: Bend and twist the body , reach above and below the waist , and use both hands for repetitive motion to pick, feel, and grasp objects.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Experience: One year of experience in food service operations is preferred, with an understanding of nutrition, sanitation, and food safety.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, including the ability to operate a computer and use email for communication.
- Attributes: A cooperative, congenial, and service-oriented temperament.
- Clearances: Employment is contingent upon providing current Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, and Act 168 forms prior to your start date.
