What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. HR Generalist position at Hanon Systems?
Hanon Systems USA, LLC is seeking an energetic, personable and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist. This person will be primarily responsible for providing full range of day-to-day HR support for business units within the Hanon Systems Statesboro facility in Georgia.
This position requires employee to be on site 5 days each week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recruiting; onboarding and exits; compensation; leaves of absence; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Assists with the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Develops and analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Perform duties with a high degree of urgency, effectiveness, confidentiality & professionalism
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Identifies training needs and individual coaching needs
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Vendor management and vendor payments
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Years of Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of HR experience required; experience in the automotive industry preferred
- This position is a non-management position.

- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including recruiting, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Prior experience working in automotive
