What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthopedic Service Line Manager position at Hannibal Regional?
Responsible for the operational, strategic and financial performance of the service line across the healthcare system. The role partners closely with orthopedic surgeons, physician leadership, practice managers, surgical services and marketing to grow orthopedic volumes, improve patient outcomes, strengthen referral relationships and optimize service line profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or related clinical field preferred
- Prior clinical experience required; experience in orthopedic services strongly preferred
- Previous leadership experience in a hospital, clinic, or service line setting required
- Strong understanding of orthopedic service lines, including surgical services, outpatient care, and rehabilitation
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with orthopedic surgeons, providers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to executives, physicians, and staff
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, volume growth, and performance metrics
- Ability to interpret data and drive operational and strategic decision-making
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic plans to grow service line volume and market share
- Experience leading performance improvement initiatives and driving quality and patient experience outcomes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead change, foster physician alignment, and promote a culture of collaboration and accountability
