What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at HANKS FURNITURE INC?
We are looking to add an energetic new team member. This position is responsible for assisting the accounting department in all areas. This position will learn and train in various areas including but not limited to: A/R, A/P, General Ledger, Payroll, and Inventory.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry
- Post journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Resolve AP accounts payable and AR accounts receivable discrepancies
- Assist with month end close process and reporting
- Inventory
- Other special projects as needed
Skills/Experience Requirements
Ability to perform advanced Excel functions and system savvy
- Understanding of Microsoft Office and PC skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to follow through projects
- Must be able to observe & honor confidentiality in all areas of accounting
Preferred skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self starter with initiative to take on new projects
- A positive individual who is professional with high integrity and strong work ethics, with the ability to give and receive respect.
Education/experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Or numerous years in the field will be considered
Salary : $18 - $23
