Key Responsibilities
- Accompany physicians during patient visits and document encounters in real time.
- Accurately transcribe patient history, physical examinations, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Document laboratory and diagnostic imaging results.
- Record physician orders for medications, referrals, laboratory tests, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Document diagnoses, symptoms, prescriptions, and patient education as directed by the provider.
- Prepare, review, and edit medical documentation for physician approval and signature.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential electronic medical records.
- Ensure documentation complies with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient patient care and workflow.
- Perform other administrative and documentation duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6 months of medical scribe experience.
- Typing speed of 90 words per minute.
- Strong computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Excellent written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
