The Technical Advisor will play a pivotal role in supporting the Work Management organization by providing direct support and technical expertise to the Director. - Conduct thorough reviews of technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement within work management processes.
- Engage in technical research to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Conduct project reviews to evaluate progress, adherence to timelines, and resource allocation.
- Provide oversight of field activities, ensuring that operations align with safety standards and project objectives.
- Offer technical guidance during project assessments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with management to support new initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Lead efforts to implement new processes or programs, monitoring their effectiveness and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize routine activities.
- Establish an internal training program tailored for new and existing planning staff, focusing on skill development and role-specific competencies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive desk instructions for each discipline within the Work Management structure to ensure consistency and clarity in operations.
- Develop and deliver monthly training sessions for Work Management staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Foster effective communication across departments to ensure alignment and collaboration on work management initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between the Director and various teams, facilitating the exchange of information and feedback.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education.
- Experience in Work Management, Planning & Scheduling, or a related discipline.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with proven leadership qualities, managerial and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically, lead a diverse team, and have a firm understanding of the business goals and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Prior experience in a leadership capacity (e.g., project management, team lead, foreman, supervisor, or manager).
- 5 years of related experience, preferably with the Department of Energy (DOE) or Work Control experience.
