HMIS is seeking an individual with radiological control experience who wants to be part of a dynamic team to deliver radiological safety training.
Primary Responsibilities For This Position Include
- Development and delivery of Radiological Worker (RW) initial, continuing training, and requalification training materials.
- Function as an instructional developer as well as an innovative classroom instructor in a fast-paced environment.
- This position will also conduct hands-on practical training exercises as well as the proctoring for on-demand qualification exams.
- The selected individual will be required to work independently as well as part of a diverse team to provide the variety of support functions required by the contractors.
- Mentoring and preparing students for successful completion of requirement-based training activities.
- Evaluation of student performance in classroom (exams) as well as realistic scenario driven exercises.
- Providing feedback to students and correcting knowledge and skill weaknesses using effective professional adult learning techniques.
- Implementation of new adult learning technologies.
- Periodic restocking and organization of training materials.
- Some work outside standard work hours may be required to meet expectations and customer needs.
- May also assist with other HAMMER Safety and Health training as an instructor, as required.
**Basic Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree and two years of prior experience performing radiological safety or Radiological Worker training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to qualify as a Hanford RCT and HAMMER classroom instructor.
- Current or past qualification as a DOE RCT or Health Physics Technician (HPT), or
- Qualification as an ANSI 13.12 RCT or HPT, or
- Qualification as a US Navy ELT with shi
