Handled Now is hiring Class A Regional Drivers to run a dedicated flatbed route delivering building materials across the Midwest, with drivers home twice a week.
Job Details
- Pay: $1,900/wk average; $0.77/mile (Tier 1 mileage rate)
- Schedule: 6-7 day operation; routes may leave Sunday and return Friday, or similar
- Start Time: Varies by route
- Route Type: Regional, home 2x per week
- Delivery Area: OTR lanes, anywhere except the Northeast, including Chicago, Saint Louis, Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit, Louisville, Houston, and Indianapolis, to name a few
- Tractor Type: Sleeper
- Trailer Type: 53' flatbed
- Freight: No touch, strap securement only (roughly 10% tarping in winter); will train on flatbed securement
- Drivers must be willing to obtain a hazmat endorsement, with the process starting within 2 weeks of starting
What It Takes to Drive With Handled Now
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in state of domicile
- Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years operating Class 8 tractor-trailer equipment
- Clean driving record: no DUI, DWI, reckless, or careless driving convictions within the past 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations and/or preventable accidents within the past 3 years
- Able to determine that cargo is properly loaded, distributed, and secured
- Willing to obtain a hazmat endorsement
- Able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to meet FMCSA requirements
