What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fulfillment/Shipping Technician position at Handi Quilter?
Responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Your duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damage to inventory. Able to fulfill certain duties and responsibilities. Be able to perform efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch environment by handling incoming and outgoing deliveries.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Frequent lifting of quilting machines and boxed products (50 lbs.)
- Working with your hands to pick orders.
- Quality inspection of shipments before they are shipped.
- Package orders to prepare them for shipping.
- Entry of information into computer programs (shipping & accounting programs)
- Palletize and prepare freight shipments.
- Daily inventory stock count and inventory refill, to prepare the dept for the daily shipping needs.
- Communication among team members
- Working while being on your feet for long periods of time
- Work with other teams in the building to ensure the accuracy and quality of each order/shipment.
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
- Daily cleaning of the fulfillment area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Standards:
- Education Requirement: High School Diploma
Equipment, Machines, and Software Used:
- Manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Forklift and Lift picker. Handheld scanning units.
- PC’s and Tablets.
- Prior experience with this equipment is not required.
Physical Activities and Requirements:
This position requires the ability to bend, reach, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds. This position also requires the ability to stand and walk for up to 8-10 hours per day continually and use your hands to assemble large and small components.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
