Duties
- Operate industrial laundry machines to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing efficiently and safely
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, or cleaning requirements to prevent damage and ensure quality results
- Perform dry cleaning procedures for delicate or special garments using appropriate solvents and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly cleaning machines, work surfaces, and storage spaces
- Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation to ensure a secure work environment
- Assist with inventory management by tracking linen supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low
- Support guest requests promptly by delivering clean linens or assisting with special laundry needs as required
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning processes
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and correctly sorted
- Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and responding to guest requests
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks with precision
