The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. This position is responsible for checking guests in and out, handling guest requests, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming front desk operation during the 2nd shift, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner.
- Process payments, post charges, and manage cash, credit card, and room accounts.
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and directions.
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to fulfill guest needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
- Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of guest information.
- Assist with reservations and cancellations.
- Support colleagues during high-volume check-in/out periods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) preferred.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts consistently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
