Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues
- Execute floor care tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces throughout the hotel
- Manage heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies efficiently and safely
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times
- Maintain cleanliness standards by inspecting rooms for quality control before guest check-in or check-out
- Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies used, and any maintenance issues encountered during shifts
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with janitorial or industrial cleaning background preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and floor care equipment operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably and safely
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and hotel housekeeping management practices
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols including the use of SDS for chemical agents
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently
