Duties
- Perform thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards
- Identify areas needing cleaning or maintenance attention and communicate effectively with housekeeping staff to address deficiencies promptly
- Monitor cleaning procedures, including floor care, surface sanitation, and waste disposal, ensuring adherence to established protocols
- Conduct routine audits of janitorial supplies and equipment to guarantee proper usage and inventory levels
- Document inspection results accurately and compile reports highlighting areas for improvement or immediate action
- Train and guide housekeeping staff on best practices for industrial cleaning, custodial tasks, and hospitality standards
- Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or custodial roles within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, and industrial cleaning equipment
- Prior experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness issues quickly and efficiently
- Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods while performing inspections and cleaning tasks
- Familiarity with health & safety regulations relevant to custodial work in hospitality settings
