The RoleWe're on the hunt for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Manhattan Beach store. You'll be the ultimate support system, delivering next-level customer service and growing our Hammitt family through local marketing, cool partnerships, and killer clientelling. What You’ll Do
- Act as a hands-on mentor and motivator, proactively identifying talent needs to build, train, and inspire a high-performing team that consistently crushes goals.
- Partner closely with the Store Manager to elevate daily operations and keep the team's energy high
- Host awesome parties and events at the store with local influencers, charities, and store activations
- Work with the marketing calendar to promote special edition bags, holiday events, new drops, and any sweet gifts with purchases and connect with customers to build anticipation and drive early interest
- Become a total expert on our core year-round bestsellers and our four seasonal collections
- Create and maintain eye-catching visual merchandising displays that grab attention and drive sales
- Assist in maintaining and managing inventory to ensure products are in stock
- Treat every customer like they’re walking into your home, creating a warm and inviting environment
- Take initiative – anticipate problems and jump on them fast with the right solutions
- Be resourceful – respond creatively, practically, and calmly to any challenge
- Prioritize like a pro – figure out what’s most important based on goals and communicate with the Store Manager
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of leadership experience in fashion retail or a premium/luxury consumer brand
- Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
- Clientelling with a track record of building and maintaining a strong book of business
- Confident and clear communicator, both in writing and speaking
- Excellent listener who can accurately understand and respond to the needs of others
- Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to exceed performance standards
- Positive vibes, passionate about people, fashion and style
- An innovative thinker with a flair for problem solving and an abundance of creativity
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
