The Powder Coater Apprentice is respnosible for preparing various parts for powder coating, reworking failed parts, and introduction to applying powder coatings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather and prepare parts as they are delivered using small hand tools.
- Demonstrated ability to meet targets for speed and quality.
- Prepare and hang parts for powder coating.
- Sanding or stripping parts for repaints.
- Entry-level powder coating, capable of high-quality pass-rates in our metallic finishes.
- Able to complete basic maintenance and cleanup of equipment and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma preferred,
- Ability to work with small parts and basic hand tools.
- Powder coating or paint experience helpful, but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Positive, motivated, energetic, and team-oriented attitude.
- Punctual, reliable attendance.
- High attention to detail.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Able to stand, bend and stoop for 8 hours per day.
- Able to stand and walk on concrete floors 8 hours per day.
- Able to work around and with chemicals such as acetone and paint stripper.
