Full Job Description:
Responsible for the overall maintenance of the facility. Provide residents with well-maintained building and grounds. The Maintenance Aide is responsible for minor repairs and upkeep throughout the building and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Director. Assisting with resident transportation requests Our goal is providing the best service possible; therefore, honoring resident requests is our specialty.
Essential Duties of Position
1. Aides in driving a 14-passenger bus of residents to and from outings.
2. Maintains the facility grounds and building exteriors on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis.
3. Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and resemble equipment.
4. Performs routine preventative maintenance to resident rooms to ensure everything is in proper working order.
5. Assists in moving materials, supplies, equipment, etc.
3. Performs routine preventive maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, and plumbing are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications.
7. Ensures maintenance duties are performed according to manufacturer specifications and local Health department regulations.
4. Ensures that established infection control practices are maintained when performing maintenance duties.
9. Follows proper techniques for mixing chemicals, cleaning disinfectants and solutions.
10. Attends staff meetings and in-service education, as required.
11. Assists the Maintenance Director in resolving guest complaints concerning the Maintenance department.
