What are the responsibilities and job description for the Science Leave Replacement Teacher- Middle School position at Hamilton Township School District?
- Replacement for teachers on a leave of absence
- Length of positions may vary
- Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Earth, Physical or Biological Science or Subject Matter Specialization – Science Grades 5-8)
- Ability to conduct/facilitate laboratory investigations
- Knowledge/Experience with modeling and inquiry-based science instruction
- Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards (ie: Next Generation Science Standards)
- Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for science (ie: NJSLA)
- Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction
- Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching – a plus
- Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
- Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members
- Bilingual (a plus)
- Successful clearance of criminal history
- All Substitutes must be BOE approved
