In this role, you will:
- Facilitate small group instruction to support student learning.
- Assist Title I staff with lesson preparation and classroom materials.
- Support grade-level and school-wide assessment processes.

Supervise students during recess to ensure a safe and positive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional activities and support to students, particularly those who are at risk of academic failure.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students, reinforcing skills and concepts taught in the classroom.
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) as necessary.
- Support the implementation of interventions and strategies designed to improve student performance in reading, math, and other subjects.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of belonging among all students.
- Assist with classroom management and facilitate a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions as required.
- Communicate effectively with students and teachers to support student learning and progress.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques, particularly for at-risk students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to adapt to various learning styles and needs of students.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
- Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per school board policy.
