CNC Machinist 1 -- high level with job shop experience (high variety/low mix)

10% premium on 2nd

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform a series of complex machine operations, including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. Will need to read and edit G & M code. The ability to conversational program is a plus. First piece and in-process quality inspections are required. CNC lathe experience required. We are currently looking for candidates to work on 2nd or 3rd shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma.

Advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.

3-5 years of CNC machining operation setup and programming experience preferred. Will train suitable candidate with less experience.

Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls are also essential.

The ability to setup and operate multiple axis machines or lathes with live tooling is a plus
