Responsible for setting up and controlling extrusion machines. Extrusion machines heat materials like metals and plastics and push them through a mold that shapes the materials. Extrusion operators adjust and test equipment at the beginning of each day to ensure it works properly and safely, and they follow established procedures and guidelines when operating machinery.
