SUMMARY
The Pool Manager is responsible for supervising the aquatics staff in conducting safe activities within the swimming pool area. The Pool Manager maintains and monitors pool facilities, equipment, and water quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, organizes, and supervises lifeguard operations at the Hallbrook Pool.
- Prepares, unlocks, inspects and locks pool grounds for opening and closing.
- Tests and records chlorine and PH levels for the pools
- Responsible for assisting in the support and enforcement of rules and regulations.
- Responds to and resolves problems, inquiries and complaints related to pool facilities.
- Initiating and promoting good water safety habits.
- Promote safety in the pool area and monitor for safety concerns.
- Assisting in the operation and maintenance of the pool.
- Patrol pool areas to maintain cleanliness of the facility. Such as picking up towels, trash, and toys.
- Set-up and Tear-down for swim and dive meets and events.
- Conduct self in a professional manner, understand, and relate to guests while using the facilities.
- Provide positive and enthusiastic customer service to all members and guests.
- Assist youth activities in activities, events, and promotions to enhance member experience.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends improvements to pool establishments, standard operating procedures, and customer service.
- Administers first-aid; enforces and monitors safe work practices.
- Manage scheduling of Lifeguards.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by Assistant Manager of Recreation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Candidates must be able to exhibit proficiency in swimming.
- Preferred candidates will have American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
- Outgoing and engaging personality.
- (2) years’ experience as a lifeguard; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess at the time of application and maintain valid Lifeguard, Water and Safety Instructor, CPR and First Aid Certifications OR be willing to get within 30 days of hire.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to walk frequently.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- This position may require an individual to work some holidays and weekends.
