You will guide a practice of 140 survey professionals organized into 14 teams, driving technical excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
What You Will Do
- Lead the strategic direction, performance, and innovation of the firm's Survey Practice.
- Standardize workflows, QA/QC, and technical practices across all survey teams.
- Mentor team leads and support professional growth and succession planning.
- Optimize staffing, resource allocation, and operational performance.
- Support project pursuits through scoping, pricing, and technical leadership.
- Strengthen internal and external client relationships and represent the firm at industry events.
- Advance adoption of new survey and geospatial technologies.
- Active Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license in Texas (and ability to obtain additional states).
- Bachelor's degree.
- 15 years of survey/geomatics experience and 5 years leading multi-team operations.
- Deep technical expertise methods, geospatial workflows, and modern equipment/software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen within a multidisciplinary AE environment.
- Active in professional organizations.
- You'll play a pivotal role in shaping one of the firm's core technical disciplines-- ensuring quality, consistency, and innovation across a large, high-impact survey organization.
- Prequalified in 29 Florida Department of Transportation qualification work types.
- Provides a full array of surveying and mapping services using the most current national, state, local, ALTA/ACSM standards.
