What You Will Do
- This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of infrastructure projects, including: municipal roadways, trails, and drainage improvements.
- This position requires strong design experience and prefers project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities.
- Manage design and plan production.
- Manage clients and supervise technical staff.
- Provide training/mentorship of other engineers.
- Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas or transferrable within 2 months
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in local infrastructure/public works, municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design projects
- Strong experience working with AutoCAD Civil3D (preferred) or MicroStation
- Experience managing design and plan production
- Ability to manage clients and supervise technical staff
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience working with public sector clients and business development communications is a plus
- Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development and staffing projects is a plus
- Strong ability to work in a team environment including multiple disciplines
- A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
- Diverse and interdisciplinary teams can manage projects from inception through completion
