We are conducting a confidential search for a Director to take full ownership of nationwide portal installations, technical support, maintenance, and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who has built things, managed complex installations, and thrives bringing order to fast-moving environments.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, you will oversee everything from construction-style fit-outs and technical installations to ongoing support and logistics. Each portal installation involves coordination of floorplans, electrical, AV/IT systems, and vendor management across multiple locations. This is a high-impact role with the autonomy to build scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets and cost control
- Lead and manage portal installations nationwide, including site coordination, floorplan finalization, and project timelines
- Oversee construction-related fit-outs and technical build-outs involving electrical, low-voltage, and AV/IT systems
- Manage multiple vendors, contractors, and partners across U.S. locations—and coordinate with European teams on repairs and equipment
- Supervise 24/7 technical support operations, partnering with the IT team to resolve issues promptly
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, organization, and logistics
- Drive process improvement and develop scalable operational systems to support rapid growth
- Bring structure and accountability to a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience leading construction, fit-outs, or technical installations
- Experience in entertainment, attractions, FECs, escape rooms, themed environments, or build-outs with tech integration
- Experience working internationally or coordinating with EU-based teams
- Experience with CAD software or reviewing CAD drawings
- Familiarity with project management platforms (Asana, Monday, or similar)
- Knowledge of lighting systems, networking basics, or fabrication workflows
- Leadership experience managing mixed teams (internal staff freelancers/contractors)
- Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and bring structure to ambiguous situations
- Experience managing multiple vendors and contractors across locations
- Strong project leadership background with demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and technical drawings
- Proficiency with project scheduling and budgeting tools (Excel, Gantt charts, etc.)
- General understanding of construction processes, AV/IT systems, and low-voltage infrastructure
