Key Responsibilities
- Lead tax planning, preparation, and compliance for a diverse portfolio of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing relationships with professionalism, responsiveness, and strategic insight
- Conduct complex tax research and provide well-supported advisory guidance
- Review and mentor junior staff on tax returns and technical matters
- Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements (preferred but not required)
- Gradually assume greater leadership responsibilities as senior partners scale back involvement
- Contribute to the firm's long-term strategic planning and growth initiatives
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license (Oregon or ability to obtain Oregon licensure)
- 6–9 years of progressive experience in taxation, with strong exposure to individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
- Proven ability to manage client relationships independently and with confidence
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—this role requires direct client interaction and relationship management
- Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team environment
- Commitment to working in-office full-time
- Professional demeanor with a client-first approach
