Thirty years in business, more than 1,450 projects completed, and a fleet of 289 pieces of heavy equipment. We build with our own people and our own iron — grading, paving, underground utilities, rail, and structural concrete. We don't chase low bid and we don't cut corners to win work.

We're looking for a Concrete Superintendent to take charge of our concrete operation.

What You'll Run

You own the concrete work. Our crews report to you, and you're the one making sure they're in the right place, with the right people, building it right the first time.

• Dispatch and manage concrete crews across multiple jobs and locations
• Plan and sequence the work with our Project Managers before the first form goes up
• Verify the work is built to plan, to spec, and to the quality standard we put our name on
• Manpower planning, equipment needs, material coordination, pour scheduling
• Layout, grade, elevation control, formwork, rebar, placement, finishing, curing, stripping
• Coordinate with concrete suppliers, pump and crane operators, testing labs, and inspectors
• Enforce safety on every crew, every day — no exceptions
• Track production and hold the crews accountable to the plan
• Travel is going to be required 75-90% of the time.

What We're Looking For

• 10 years in the concrete trades — you came up through the work, not around it
• 5 years running mid-size to major concrete projects as a superintendent or general foreman
• Structural concrete experience: foundations, footings, walls, columns, slabs, box culverts, vaults, retaining walls, bridge structures, or similar heavy civil work
• Can read and build off a set of plans without someone standing over your shoulder
• Understands forming systems, rebar detailing, mix designs, cold joints, pour sequencing, and ACI standards
• Willing to travel almost full time and be on the job, in the field, every day
• This is a working superintendent role. If something needs to get done and you're the guy standing there, you do it. We are not looking for someone who runs the job from a truck seat.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not a requirement
• Valid driver's license and clean record for a company vehicle.
• Required to pass pre-employment drug test/background check (This role is subject to federal testing requirements, which requires testing for cannabis despite state law)
• Candidates must pass a post-offer physical examination to ensure they can perform the essential physical functions of the job

Physical Demands - A qualified individual must be able to perform these essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Sitting and/or standing/walking for long periods on uneven ground
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Twisting, reaching overhead, pulling, pushing
• Ability to work at heights (e.g., on ladders, scaffolding) and in confined spaces (such as trenches or manholes) as required by the project
• Use hands to handle tools and heavy equipment, and reach with arms.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision (for reading plans/computer screens), distance vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

• This role is outdoors on active construction sites. The employee could be exposed to weather conditions such as heat, cold, and rain, and will work near heavy machinery and moving vehicles
• The noise level on site is often loud, and the environment may involve dust and fumes. Appropriate PPE (hard hat, safety vest, hearing protection, etc.) is required at all times.
• Work may occasionally be at heights or in confined spaces
• The employee is required to follow all safety policies and procedures and to actively participate in safety trainings and meetings. This position is classified as safety-sensitive
• Must be willing to work overtime or weekends when project deadlines require

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
