Job Summary
Join our transportation team as a CDL Bus Paratransit Driver, where your role is vital in providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services to passengers, including individuals with mobility challenges, seniors, children, and community members. You will operate passenger vehicles under safety and traffic laws, ensuring timely service while assisting passengers with wheelchair assistance and other mobility needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate paratransit buses and transit vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations.
- Assist passengers with wheelchair assistance, boarding, disembarking, and other mobility needs while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain awareness of traffic conditions to respond quickly to traffic changes and ensure on-time service delivery.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, team members, and dispatchers.
Skills
- Proven experience in bus driving, paratransit, transit bus operation or commercial driving with a valid CDL license.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Defensive driving skills combined with quick response capabilities to adapt swiftly to traffic changes or unforeseen circumstances.
Pay: $1,005.00 - $1,520.00 per week
