In this role, you will operate specialized buses equipped to assist passengers with mobility challenges, including wheelchair assistance and other accommodations. Your dedication will ensure passengers experience comfortable, timely, and secure journeys while adhering to all transportation safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate paratransit buses in accordance with traffic laws and transportation safety regulations.
- Assist passengers with disabilities or mobility challenges, including wheelchair securement and other accessibility needs.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with passengers, addressing their needs, and ensuring a respectful environment.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger information, and incident reports when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in bus driving or paratransit driving.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, transportation safety regulations, and procedures for transportation.
- Communication skills in English; multilingual abilities such as bilingual proficiency are a plus.
- Demonstrated defensive driving skills and quick response capabilities to traffic changes.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with behavior management techniques for diverse passenger needs.
Pay: $1,005.00 - $1,520.00 per week
