JOB REQUIREMENTS: Homeowner Eligibility Specialist \$19/hr - \$23/hr;
Compensation Based On Experience Full-Time, Hourly/Non-Exempt, M-F 8
am-4:30 pm, Evenings & Weekends as needed Job Summary: The Homeownership
Eligibility Specialist (HES) will serve families in need of decent and
affordable housing by accepting, reviewing, and decisioning
applicant/partner family files. The HES will provide applicant review
and loan processing services to ensure accurate loan closing
transactions. The HES will be responsible for establishing a pipeline of
potential applicants while certifying that files meet program
requirements and guidelines of affiliate, internal and external
stakeholders. The HES will assist the Family Services Department with
all other department projects as needed. Key Responsibilities: Assist
applicants in completing their loan applications, follow through to
closing, and resolve any problems with guidelines and compliance
Organize applicant files and expedite the acquisition of documents
required to determine program eligibility as part of the Family Services
Department Communicate file status and need for documentation to
applicants/partner families Recertify documents (income, assets, credit)
to verify program eligibility at multiple stages of the homebuyer
process Process loan files in preparation for loan closings with the
Loan Closing Specialist Provide resources to denied applicants to
overcome homeownership barriers Represent MHFH at community events,
businesses, and organizations for recruitment of new applicants and
outreach \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required
Qualifications: Background in residential lending, affordable housing,
Banking, Finance, Or Accounting, Preferred. Minimum 2 Years Of
experience working with diverse demographics. Familiarity with mortgage
loan documentation and/or underwriting standards required Strong
personal and written communication skills Exceptional attention to
detail and documentation accuracy. Computer literacy with experience in
Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Capable of managing projects,
processes, deadlines, and a budget while adhering to the policies and
