Punch and Warranty Supervisor
Location: Charlotte Region
Schedule: Full-time (Tuesday–Saturday)
Starting Salary: $55,000 per year

Position Summary
The Punch and Warranty Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the New Construction team throughout the home build process, with a specific focus on ensuring smooth project closings and managing post-construction warranty procedures. This role combines hands-on construction work, volunteer leadership, homeowner support, and quality assurance to uphold Habitat for Humanity's standards of excellence.

Position Summary
The Punch and Warranty Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the New Construction team throughout the home build process, with a specific focus on ensuring smooth project closings and managing post-construction warranty procedures. This role combines hands-on construction work, volunteer leadership, homeowner support, and quality assurance to uphold Habitat for Humanity's standards of excellence.
Essential Functions Warranty Oversight
- Manage warranty processes for both New Construction and Existing Home projects
- Intake and tracking of new warranty requests
- Triage and respond to warranty concerns
- Perform repairs or assign them to appropriate construction staff
- Develop and implement a homeowner maintenance skills training program in partnership with Family Services
- Support the New Construction team in the final phases of projects
- Spend up to 3 days per project during punch phase to ensure clean, timely closings
- Assist with internal quality control inspections
- Lead volunteer groups when needed due to scheduling conflicts
- Serve as an OSHA Competent Person, supporting the implementation of a comprehensive construction safety program
- Maintain required safety certifications (CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10-hour, OSHA Competent Person – HFHI training)
- Work closely with the Director of New Construction to establish and maintain consistent operational practices
- Carry out Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region-related tasks as requested
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively
- Experience leading teams, volunteers, or subcontractors in a construction setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Required Certifications:
- CPR/First Aid
- OSHA 10-hour
- OSHA Competent Person (Habitat for Humanity International training)
- Must be able to work in both office and construction site environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions
- Physical requirements include:
- Lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted
- Climbing ladders and scaffolding
- Working on roofs and in crawl spaces
- Navigating uneven terrain
- Responsible for managing HabiCorps, volunteers, and subcontractors as needed
- Coordinate closely with site supervisors and project managers
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Tuesday–Saturday work schedule required
